(1 May 2023) As the Senior Librarian (Collection Strategy) you will lead and provide oversight for the eReadings process that supports teaching and learning at Flinders University. You will be a key member of the Collection Strategy team that delivers high quality integrated services in scholarly resource acquisitions, and you will have functional supervision responsibilities in this team. You will assist with annual renewals and contribute to the assessment, evaluation and promotion of potential and existing resources in the library’s collections. As such you will work collaboratively with other library and university teams, publishers and vendors.
To be successful as the Senior Librarian (Collection Strategy), you will have extensive experience with an Integrated Library Management System and associated applications such as course reserves, and acquisitions.
The successful candidate will also:
- Have relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training.
- Demonstrate a general to broad understanding of scholarly communication and the challenges in the acquisition of library resources, including textbooks.
- Demonstrate organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to apply project methodology and manage deadlines.
