(20 Jan 2022) ChronosHub has announced a collaboration with the American Chemical Society (ACS). The ACS Journal Finder will make institutional and consortial open access agreements and funders’ open access policies more transparent for authors.
ChronosHub assisted ACS with a public journal finder tool that includes all of ACS’ more than 75 journals, now live at https://acs.chronoshub.io. Authors are presented with several options designed to help them identify the right journal for their manuscript submissions. They can select their funder and affiliated institution to see funder compliance requirements as well as potential eligibility for open access (OA) agreements negotiated by their institution or consortium.
Either article publishing charges (APC) are displayed for the different compliant publishing routes, or an explicit text will underline that the APC is covered by an agreement. In addition, the journal finder offers filter options that allow authors to narrow down the presented options; they can filter the journals by subject, license, OA type, embargo period, and APC price.
