(2 Dec 2024) Authors affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) can now make their research freely accessible through a special open access initiative by the American Chemical Society (ACS). This limited-time offer, available until December 31, 2024, allows eligible authors to publish open access in over 65 ACS hybrid journals at no cost—while token supplies last.
To qualify, accepted articles must be published before the deadline. Authors can also take advantage of discounted article publishing charges in ACS’ fully open-access journals (excluding ACS Omega). The discounted rates are $3,000 USD for a CC BY license and $2,500 USD for a CC BY-NC-ND license.
CAS-affiliated researchers are encouraged to contact ACS’ Open Access Operations team to confirm eligibility and receive guidance on next steps.
This initiative underscores ACS’ commitment to promoting global research visibility and accessibility. Interested authors should act quickly to secure open access benefits before the program ends.
