(5 May 2018) Vice President U Myint Swe delivered a speech at the closing ceremony of the 17th Congress of Southeast Asian Librarians (CONSAL XVII) at the Myanmar International Convention Centre-II (MICC-II) in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
Vice President U Myint Swe said that by hosting the CONSAL XVII, Myanmar had successfully conducted works related to the congress with the cooperation of librarians, library related organizations and library expert representatives.
Myanmar took pride in hosting the Congress of Southeast Asian Librarians for the first time, he said. Together with the Congress, the 3rd Executive Board Meeting, 26th Congress of Directors of National Libraries of Asia and Oceania Meeting (CDNLAO) and other related meetings were held simultaneously.
CONSAL XVIII will be held in Cambodia.
