(21 Jun 2022) SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, today announced another year with discounted institutional subscription pricing. The 5% price reduction will apply to all SPIE Digital Library and SPIE journal institutional subscriptions.
The SPIE Digital Library, the world’s largest collection of optics and photonics applied research, comprises more than 560,000 publications and presentations. The reduction furthers SPIE’s commitment to enabling the broadest possible dissemination of optics and photonics research content to academics, engineers, researchers, and scientists, worldwide.
“Supporting the international optics and photonics community is integral to the Society’s mission,” said SPIE CEO Kent Rochford. “Our decision to continue to reduce institutional subscription pricing in response to the challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic and the new economic pressures reaffirms our commitment to ensuring that SPIE publications are widely available to the international optics and photonics research community as well as being responsible to our library partners.”
The discount applies to both new and renewing SPIE Digital Library institutional subscriptions as well as institutional subscriptions to individual SPIE journals invoiced before 30 June 2023.
