(24 August 2021) Scholarly data has become one of the most important components of Open Science. Governments and funders are mandating that researchers deposit their data in repositories and supply supporting metadata. This extra work will only get done if researchers are given proper credit for their data outputs. But, how prepared is the scholarly ecosystem for data citation metrics?
The first half of this CHORUS Forum will explore the issues from the perspective of the various stakeholders including researchers, policy makers, data service providers, and funders. The second hour will focus on the infrastructure efforts, community advocacy and adoption, and the next steps needed to move toward a solution.
This Free online meeting takes place 28 October 2021, @ 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM EDT
