If you’re passing through Hong Kong, libraries and artists have got together to offer courses and exhibitions open to the public.
CityU library has a Chinese calligraphy course for beginners during November 2013. Read about it here.
Lingnan University has an exhibition of paintings by Anna Glynn, Artist in Residence from Australia. Her paintings can be seen in the Fong Sum Wood Library until 13 December 2013. More about the exhibition is here.
Over at HKUST, the library has opened its first sculpture exhibition in 15 years. “Karma – Landscape Sculpture by Danny Lee Chin-fai” is jointly presented by the Library and the Center for the Arts. The Exhibition features Mr Lee’s selected artworks around the theme of city and nature. The Exhibition runs until 16 February 2014. Also at HKUST is the inaugural exhibition of the Hong Kong Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce Ko Pui Shuen Gallery. This inaugural exhibition brings the treasured items of the University Archives and Special Collections to the public. More here.
