(1 April 2015) To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the National Library, the National Library and Documentation Services Board of Sri Lanka has planned an International Conference with the main objective of strengthening cooperation among national libraries in South and Southeast Asia. The conference will take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 5-6 August 2015.
Speakers are invited to share their knowledge, expertise and experience.
The proposed themes are:
- Role of National Libraries in Achieving National Development Goals
- National Libraries and Cultural Heritage
- National Libraries as Centres of Innovation
- Emerging Trends in National Libraries
- National Information Policies
- Preservation of Indigenous knowledge
