This exciting opportunity to take on a senior role in the Library at Flinders University will give you the chance to be part of a positive and welcoming work environment, and to contribute to the overall success of the University’s acclaimed research activities. The Senior Librarian (Research Engagement) will work collaboratively with the Research Engagement team and contribute to the development and delivery of a sustainable suite of Library support services for the research activities of the University.
The responsibilities of the Senior Librarian (Research Engagement) will include (but is not limited to):
- Proactively engaging with academic staff, higher degree research students and relevant stakeholders to ensure they are fully informed of and able to make use of Library resources and services for teaching, learning and research.
- Proactively engaging with colleagues in Information and Digital Services and other areas to identify new and emerging technologies that assist the research, learning and teaching needs and improve library services.
- Collaborate closely with academic staff and colleagues in Research Development and Support to identify and implement strategies that enhance research visibility and impact.
- Identifying innovations, improvements and resources that the Library may initiate to better serve College research activities
- Leading designated projects and contribute to strategies that support University and Library priorities related to research.
