(29 Nov 2020) From Deakin University, Australia:
We are now seeking an exceptional person to join us as our new University Librarian to continue our development of a future-oriented Library and our leadership in the innovative use of digital technology.
The University Library operates at five sites: four campus libraries and the Alfred Deakin Prime Ministerial Library, which curates the University’s special collections, as well as supporting a large cohort of students who study wholly online.
Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education, the University Librarian will support the University community by ensuring that Deakin integrates digital and campus-based delivery, to deliver a premium and relevant educational experience for our students.
The University Librarian will also provide strategic guidance, a compelling vision and effective leadership for the Library, and advance the University’s agenda as defined in Deakin’s strategic plan, Deakin 2030 Ideas to Impact.
