(24 Jun 2025) Choice is pleased to announce a free eight-week, newsletter-based course supported by Clarivate and developed by Choice editors, in collaboration with libraries and librarians. The new micro-course titled “Generative AI Literacy Essentials for Academic Librarians” brings together Choice’s tech vertical, LibTech Insights and global transformative intelligence leader Clarivate. The eight modules, written by academic library workers, follow the latest iteration of the ACRL AI literacy framework . This complimentary micro-course will provide self-paced, pragmatic instruction via core concept descriptions, case studies, interviews, and specially curated resource lists for continued learning.
Since 2023, LibTech Insights (LTI) has regularly featured tech-savvy, library-centric contributors who cover AI from within the realms of libraries and technology through weekly blog posts, webinars, and podcasts. The collaboration with Clarivate adds their information leadership in the area of Academic AI in libraries, as seen in the creation and launch of their 2024 Academic AI platform, the global Pulse of the Library survey and the insights shared from their Academia AI Advisory Council.
The initial run of the eight-week newsletter course begins in mid-July, with rolling registration open throughout the next three months.
