(22 August 2018) IGI Global will attend the 25th Beijing International Book Fair in Beijing, China, on August 22-26 at booth E1.L04. The international academic publisher looks forward to reconnecting with global partners to discuss their new 2019 initiatives. This is the ninth year IGI has attended BIBF. Dr. Mehdi Khosrow-Pour, President and CEO, Nick Newcomer, Marketing Manager, and Josh Witman, Business Manager, will represent IGI Global at the conference.
Hosting BIBF this year is China Publications Expo International (Expo Center), which is one of the main business units of China National Publications Import & Export (Group) Corporations (CNPIEC). The fair will introduce distinguished works from all over the world to China and provide an opportunity for the country to showcase their leading research. For the past 25 years, BIBF has received global support and participation from both domestic and international book and publishing industries.
After attending BIBF, IGI Global will be making an appearance at booth C110 at the 84th IFLA General Conference and Assembly from August 24-30 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During this conference, IGI Global will be speaking on their library-focused initiatives including:
- New InfoSci Database Pricing
IGI Global’s InfoSci-Database collection provides institutions the opportunity to purchase leading research at a fraction of the cost. For any library that invests in an IGI Global journal database, including InfoSci-Journals, IGI Global will match the library’s investment with a fund of equal value to go toward subsidizing the open access article processing charge (APC) for their students, faculty, and staff at that institution when their work is submitted and accepted under open access into an IGI Global journal housed within that collection.* For more information, click here. - 100% Credits Towards an InfoSci-Database
As academic librarians continue to face lack of resources and more responsibility, many are trying to maintain the equilibrium between balancing funds and providing their patrons with the resources they need. As such, IGI Global will analyze libraries’ existing IGI Global publication holdings and offer 100 percent credits toward the purchase of one of the InfoSci-Database collections. For a holdings analysis, contact: [email protected]. - 25% Discount on all Purchases Through a Library Account
The international academic publisher offers librarians a 25% discount on all purchases when they sign up for an IGI Global library account. This discount applies to all of IGI Global’s 4,500+ reference books, 175+ highly-cited journals, 100+ video lectures, and award-winning InfoSci-Databases. Sign up for an account here.
