(25 June 2015) The American Psychological Association (APA) announces their partnership with Boston-based publishing software company ReadCube to index their scholarly journal and book collections with ReadCube’s Discover service. All 110 journals comprising the PsycARTICLES database, including several of the most highly cited and leading journals in psychology, along with more than 65,000 books and book chapters from PsycBOOKS have been fully indexed and are searchable across ReadCube’s web, desktop, and mobile reading portals, and are included in ReadCube’s search engines and recommendation feeds.
“APA is always looking for ways to facilitate the creation, application, and dissemination of psychological knowledge to advance the field,” says Gary R. VandenBos, PhD, APA Publisher. “Our partnership with ReadCube further enhances the discovery of vital behavioral and social science content to help researchers access the important information they’re looking for.”
In addition to deep-indexing, when read within any of the free ReadCube apps, articles and book chapters will be available with ReadCube’s popular enhanced reading features including hyperlinked in-line citations, annotations, clickable author names, instant access to supplemental content and figures, social sharing, and altmetrics.
“We’re thrilled to have APA as a publishing partner,” said Robert McGrath, CEO of Labtiva. “Together, we’re making it easier for researchers to find and access the most cutting-edge research across the psychology field.”
