(7 October 2015) The Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) library in the capital of Brunei yesterday played host to 21 delegates from the Thailand Library Association.
“The purpose of the visit is to familiarise ourselves with Brunei Darussalam, its people and culture and of course get to know the structure and the workings of libraries in the nation,” shared one of the delegates Dr Parchark Wattananusii, internal relations, Thai Library Association, Bangkok.
“We are amazed at the use of technology in Brunei’s libraries and the balance of not only providing knowledge through literary works but at the same time preserving the country’s unique history and culture. We hope to use our experience and what we learn to improve our own libraries,” he added.
