(27 February 2013) Yu Hsiao-ming, Director of National Central Library Special Collections Division as well as Deputy Director of the Center for Chinese Studies, was voted by the Librarian Eminent Contribution Evaluation Committee to be the recipient of the 2012 Ministry of Education Outstanding Librarian Award. The Committee recognized that Director Yu Hsiao-ming enhanced considerably the excellence and quality of Chinese Studies special collections, established international exchanges and cooperation relations to promote Taiwan as the leader of the Chinese culture. Her achievements and performance were outstanding. She can be considered a professional role model. The whole staff of the NCL are unanimous in recognizing her honor.
