(24 Feb 2022) Announcement from Wiley:
We’re excited to announce a new partnership with the Wikipedia Library, a project of the nonprofit Wikimedia Foundation, which will connect Wikipedia editors with full-text access to Wiley Online Library content to drive better citations and more accurate content on Wikipedia, one of the Internet’s most-visited websites.
With millions of citation clicks per month, Wikipedia is the starting point of research for many students and professionals. Working with the Wikipedia community ensures that this hub of information is accurate, up-to-date, and connected to the latest scholarly research.
This agreement builds on the success that we have seen in the longstanding relationship between Wikipedia and Cochrane Library. Learn more about the Cochrane-Wikipedia partnership here.
By partnering with the Wikipedia Library, we allow top Wikipedia editors – qualified on a basis of frequency, volume, and quality of updates to Wikipedia – free access to Wiley Online Library. Editors will use their access to cite and link directly to Wiley resources across Wikipedia articles.
