(25 Jan 2021) The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about tremendous changes to our daily lives, and libraries everywhere now face the challenge of maintaining and improving their services while ensuring the safety of patrons and staff. The National Diet Library will host a web lecture featuring Ms. Christine Mackenzie, president of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), who will talk about measures taken by the IFLA and libraries around the world in response to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as potential future international cooperation. We hope that her presentation will help deepen understanding of how libraries must operate in this “new normal” as well as prove useful in the planning of library activities. We look forward to your participation.
