(16 Mar 2024) The role of the Digital Asset Manager Librarian is to own the strategy and framework for storing, organizing, protecting, and distributing digital assets within the University’s enterprise content management system. This role is pivotal in implementing the Digital Asset Management strategy, but also ensuring the strategy evolves over time to keep pace with changing needs and asset types.
Working initially within the Web Uplift project team, the DAM Librarian will implement identified improvements to the DAM, formalize governance frameworks and develop clear training and documentation to support the community of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) DAM users. This work is a foundational part of an integrated uplift in performance, optimization, and personalization across the University websites.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- continually optimize, structure and manage assets to ensure effective search and retrieval
- maintain and build on taxonomies and meta data schemas that are optimized for the organization type, including products and services
- maintain the AEM Tagging strategy and frameworks, periodically generating and reviewing assets report/s to check for tagging and folder placement
- keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital asset management.
