The University’s Library is at the heart of the University across education and research in all disciplines, custodian of its past and enabler of its future. The University is seeking to appoint an Associate Director, Academic Engagement and Client Services to join the Library Leadership Team. This appointment comes at a very exciting time for the University and the Library following the launch of the new Your Future Library University Library Strategic Plan 2020-2025, within The University of Newcastle Looking Ahead Strategic Plan 2020-2025. The Library has a key role to play as the University reimagines the way its team will work together to deliver on this vision.
In this position you will work with an inclusive and diverse cohort at a stable university with engaged students in a spectacular regional location.
This 5-year fixed-term role will work closely with the University Librarian and the Associate Director, Collections, Discovery and Digital Experience in providing leadership and driving service delivery across Client Services, Academic Engagement and Research Support.

As an experienced leader in managing staff and large scale, cross library projects you are ready to join our Leadership Team. You will shape the library’s future using your proven talent to innovate and lead change in the current climate of transformation in how the library supports our students, academics and researchers.
An aspiring University Librarian, your ability to apply your leadership skills at a strategic level is critical, as is your experience translating plans into initiatives to understand how to best deliver student and researcher outcomes. A clear track record of proven leadership delivery across high-level liaison, budget and people matters is essential.
