As a senior leader within the University Library, the Library Content and Discovery Manager will demonstrate in depth knowledge of trends and emerging solutions in areas relevant to library technology and digital initiatives.
The Library Content and Discovery Manager’s focus is on developing and integrating services enabling access to scholarly resources and services. The Manager is responsible for providing leadership in and management for a range of content and discovery systems for the development and delivery of the digital services required to support Library service goals and University strategic directions in learning, teaching and research. This includes the Ex Libris Alma unified resource management system and the Ex Libris Primo discovery service, as well as the University Library website. Central to this role are collaboration with Library staff and forming effective working relationships with key University stakeholders, in particular the Information Technology Directorate, as well as vendors and external professional communities.
