(19 Jul 2019) Top cited authors from China are being recognised for the significance of their work with an IOP Publishing award.
The award is presented to corresponding authors from China, for work published in both IOP Publishing and its partners’ journals from 2016 to 2018.
The winners are authors of the top one per cent of the most cited papers in each subject category. Winning review authors are those whose work is in the top 10 most cited reviews published in the last two years.
Elaine Tham, Associate Director (APAC) at IOP Publishing, said: “We’re proud to be able to publish some of the most significant research from scientists in China, many of whom are world leaders in their fields. These awards allow us to highlight the impact and influence their work has across the global scientific community.”
The 177 winning authors’ work covers astronomy and astrophysics, biosciences, environmental sciences, materials, mathematics and physics. Between them, they received 4,558 citations from 2016 to 2018.
The top 10 review authors, meanwhile, received a total of 551 citations for their review papers.
Certificates will be presented to the winners by Publishing Director Antonia Seymour at an IOP Reception in Beijing in August.
