(21 February 2013) For the purpose of promoting a national reading programme and raising the reading skills of citizens, the National Central Library, Taiwan, is holding a series of special talks “Spring – Travel with Poems”. The public is invited to experience spring through the words of poetry.
National Central Library Director-general Tseng Shu hsien said it’s a good time to read in spring while the weather is so pleasant. She further emphasized that reading poems with rich rhymes, rhythms, and meaningful words can certainly reveal our thinking and provide inspiration.
The readings which include seven sessions on special topics will be held from 23 February to 18 May 18 2013 at the International Conference Hall, National Central Library. The invited scholars and poets making include Yu Tsai, Kuo-nan Hsu, Chin-yuan Hu, Tze-hsiung Yan, Hsi-te Wu, Hsian Yang, and Tze-Chen Lo.
