(14 September 2015, Singapore) The Minister for Communications and Information Dr Yaacob Ibrahim will lead a study trip to the United Kingdom from Tuesday (15 September) to Friday.
The purpose of the trip is to help the National Library (NLB) strengthen its collection on Singapore and the region, facilitate greater public access to these collections and increase engagement among Singaporeans through improved outreach initiatives, MCI said.
As part of the SG50 Gift of Books initiative, where the NLB will be presenting 10,300 books to 40 libraries around the world, Singapore will give the British Library a collection of books on Singapore.
