(16 September 2013) Intuitive navigation features are just some of the new highlights in SAE International’s new website – http://www.sae.org/.
Built on a concept of “Learn, Develop and Connect,” the new website is image-centric and allows easier access to deep content levels. This enables easier access to SAE International’s engineering papers and standards, conference and events, training courses, books, magazines, student competitions and resources, and membership benefits.
The new site is designed to work on all major platforms and browsers, and also is HTML and mobile friendly.
“All of the data we collected pointed to our users being delighted with our content, but sometimes being frustrated by the overall experience,” Bill Cariello, Manager, Web Strategy/Operations, SAE International, said. “Through this redesign, we have been able to speed the process whereby engineering professionals can access SAE International content essential to the successful completion of their jobs.”
New to the site are industry sector home pages. SAE International serves the aerospace, automotive and commercial vehicle sectors, and the website allows users to work within their specific area, filtering content specific to their needs.
This past June, SAE International launched a revitalization of its global brand, designed to communicate a bigger, broader and more. The brand incorporates a new and aspiring appearance, including a new logo.
SAE International is a global association committed to being the ultimate knowledge source for the engineering profession. By uniting over 138,000 engineers and technical experts, we drive knowledge and expertise across a broad spectrum of industries. We act on two priorities: encouraging a lifetime of learning for mobility engineering professionals and setting the standards for industry engineering. We strive for a better world through the work of our charitable arm, the SAE Foundation, including programs like A World in Motion® and the Collegiate Design Series™.
