(10 November 2015, Denver, CO) ODILO, a leading eBook provider in Europe and Latin America, has partnered with Electronic Information Solutions Inc. (EISI), a leading leading Philippines provider of library automation, information management, copy cataloging, library security systems, and subscriptions to eJournals and eBooks.
EISI has been serving Philippine libraries since 1993. With over 180 library customers, EISI provides reliable and cost-effective technology and expertise to help libraries transform from a manual system, into a fully automated, web-enabled resource.
“We are excited to bring ODILO’s vetted content and technology to the Philippines. Our library partners will enjoy digital content delivered in various formats, while local publishers and authors will find new markets for their creations as they take advantage of ODILO’s worldwide reach,” says Reuel Avila, EISI Founder and Director for Technology. “Ultimately, library patrons and end-users will benefit from ease of use and integration this new offering will bring.”
This partnership can propel learners into the digital age and build fundamental academic and career readiness skills. ODILO’s single, seamless interface will help connect and engage the Philippine learning community with various digital content.
Libraries in the Philippines can buy digital content from a variety of sources: ODILO, direct from publishers, and/or any provider of their choice. With OdiloSimplicity (ODILO’s discovery layer for print and digital materials), libraries can easily expand their collections by including archives, local content, magazines, movies, multimedia educational material, music, newspapers, videos, and more. Libraries also have the option to add the ODILO Educational eBookClub, an online social reading platform for schools and colleges.
Different licensing options are available with ODILO, including Pay-per-Use, One Copy-One User (perpetual, metered, and expiring), Simultaneous, and/or Subscription. EISI customers can activate titles using ODILO’s Pay-per-Use licensing, which provides “always available” content to help reduce and eliminate wait times on popular/trending materials.
