(21 April 2015) As part of the ‘shared solutions’ strategy in its new strategic plan, National and State Libraries Australia agreed to begin several infrastructure projects, notably a joint evaluation of a digital preservation solution, and an initial investigation of an integrated approach to digital legal deposit. The first phase of these projects will run from April to November 2015.
Other projects scheduled for 2015 include five communities of practice: Public Libraries, Storage, Trove, Communications and Marketing, and Funding and Sponsorship.
The third NSLA Heritage Collections Forum for staff in NSLA libraries with expertise in archival collections, pictures, maps, indigenous services and copyright will be held in Brisbane on 13-14 May 2015.
