(7 September 2016) figshare has announced a partnership with Royal Society to showcase the data from eleven of their publications. Aggregated under one URL rs.figshare.com, each journal will also have its own sub portal. These new portals will increase the discoverability of their data and give them a wider oversight of what is referenced in their journals.
The Royal Society is a self-governing Fellowship of many of the world’s most distinguished scientists drawn from all areas of science, engineering, and medicine. The Society’s fundamental purpose, reflected in its founding Charters of the 1660s, is to recognise, promote, and support excellence in science and to encourage the development and use of science for the benefit of humanity.
This new portal is live now. The announcement in full is here.
