LIBER has announced the launch of its new Leadership Programme. This new LIBER Director’s Programme will focus on the empowerment of current leaders as key figures in the process of reshaping the research libraries.
A key strategic priority for LIBER is to support its members in their efforts to reshape their research libraries. This new LIBER Director’s Programme will focus on the empowerment of current leaders as key figures in this process. It offers the opportunity for participants to develop tools to expand their capabilities, to debate with peers, and to explore possible solutions through stimulating, active learning and individual professional coaching.
The programme is explicitly aimed at Library Directors; people who are in charge and responsible for a research library: a university library or a national library.
The course will be held from Sunday 21 July to Tuesday 23 July 2013 at the University of Manchester Library, Manchester, UK. See the Strategic Context and the Short Programme here. The detailed programme can be found here. It will be updated regularly.
The deadline to apply: 15 May 2013.
Information on conditions, facilities and fees can be found here.
For further details about this seminar please contact Hans Geleijnse, member of the LIBER Leadership Working Group and former President of LIBER. Mr Geleijnse told ACCESS that applications from librarians in Asia who meet the criteria are welcome.
