(23 March 2018) The new American Center opened on Wednesday at the corner of Inya Road and University Avenue in Yangon, the US Embassy announced.
The new centre ‘represents the largest single financial commitment’ by the US government in an American Center anywhere in the world, the embassy statement said.
The library is open to the public from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm and additional hours for special events.
The new American Center is a state-of-the-art library and offers more than 12,000 books.
