(21 June 2016) On 8 June 2016, on the eve of Culture Heritage Day, the National Valuable Ancient Books Exhibition, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and State Administration of Cultural Heritageand organized by the National Library of China (China National Center for Preservation & Conservation of Ancient Books, National Museum of Classic Books) opened in the National Museum of Classic Books,. On display are more than 100 valuable ancient books, including Dunhuang Manuscripts, Buddhist scriptures, rare books of Song and Yuan Dynasties, transcripts of Ming and Qing Dynasties, and so on.
The exhibition consists of three parts, “Valuable ancient books, scholarly China”, “Vast classics, historical wisdom”, and “Ancient books preservation, heavy responsibilities”. The exhibition lasts for two months and is open to the public free of charge. The exhibits will be changed during the exhibition period.
