(16 August 2018) NSLA is the collaboration of the nine National, State and Territory libraries of Australia. The members are the Chief Executives of these libraries and the Chair is a member of NSLA appointed for a two-year term. NSLA is governed by a memorandum of understanding between the libraries; and priorities are set by the NSLA Strategic Plan and annual Business Plans.
The NSLA Office comprises a small team led by the NSLA Executive Officer and hosted by State Library Victoria. Kate Torney, CEO, State Library Victoria is the current Chair.
The NSLA Executive Officer leads the NSLA Office and delivers NSLA’s annual Business Plan, including major projects, BAU initiatives, advocacy, and communities of practice, working in collaboration with NSLA member libraries.
