(21 December 2015) Madam Nor O’baidah Abidin and Madam Farah Aliza Abd Aziz from the National Library of Malaysia Library System and Network Division visited the NCL for a two-week learning exchange (7-18 December).
To meet the learning needs of these foreign librarians and to promote exchange of experience and interaction between the staff of the two libraries, NCL held a group meeting to design courses on digitization and digital libraries. Topics included databases and bibliometric systems, digital archiving and services, digitizing ancient books, practice in digitizing, digital learning, etc. The classes were taught by experienced NCL staff. Much experience was exchanged and a deep and intense interaction occurred during the courses. The visiting library staff were very impressed with NCL’s many achievements in digitization. This exchange will greatly augment future digitization efforts for the two libraries.
