(13 Sep 2019) After successful launches in domestic market, Ahmedabad based Eclat Engineering Pvt. Ltd has recently launched its My Library on Finger Tips (MyLOFT) app at IFLA WLIC 2019 in Athens, Greece.
The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) is the leading international body representing the interests of library and information services and their users. Founded in 1927 in Edinburgh, Scotland at an international conference, IFLA celebrated its 90th birthday in 2017. IFLA has more than 1,400 Members in over 140 countries around the world. It is an independent, international, non-governmental, not-for-profit organisation, provides a global voice of the library and information science profession.
The MyLOFT app was launched by Christine Mackenzie, President, IFLA at the Lambrakis Hall in Athens, Greece. The launch was also witnessed by a battery of dignitaries including Gerald Leitner, Secretary General, IFLA; Glòria PérezSalmerón, Immediate Past President, IFLA and Sanjay Kumar Bihani, Member of the Governing Board, IFLA.
After the launch, Jatin Baraiya of Eclat Engineering Pvt Ltd, said that this year the theme of IFLA WLIC is “Libraries: dialogue for change.” Now, the baton has been passed to library and information users everywhere in the form of a call to action.
To provide a seamless access to the eContent across platforms anytime, anywhere which is synonymous with the “on call to action”, we have designed and developed MyLOFT. It is a mobile and web app that enables users to discover, access, save and organize library subscribed eResources and digital content of professional and personal interests at one place.
He said, “IFLA is a huge platform for us as it promotes high standards of provision and delivery of library and information services. Our application – MyLOFT allows users an easy on-campus and off-campus access to latest journal articles, databases, eBooks and more. The built-in article viewer provides clutter-free text reading experience. Features such as voice enabled universal search and listening (TTS) are added feathers to the crown of MyLOFT.”
