(1 June 2016) Ten librarians from EIFL’s partner universities in the EIFL eLibrary Myanmar project will travel to Hong Kong on a five-day study tour organized by EIFL in partnership with the University of Hong Kong Library.
From 13 to 17 June 2016, the librarians will visit University of Hong Kong Library and Lingnan University Library. The intensive learning programme covers high-level topics such as strategic planning and management of modern academic libraries; user-centred approaches to librarianship and current trends in academic libraries.
In addition, the group will learn about day-to-day organizational issues, such as building effective communication between libraries and faculty; managing licensed e-resources; the role of academic librarians in relation to open access and research data, and marketing, promoting and evaluating library services and initiatives.
