On 7 March, a new collection, “Materials on the Allied Occupation of Japan”, was added to the NDL Digitized Contents. This collection contains 17,000 items from the Records of the United States Strategic Bombing Survey (USSBS), and 700 items from the Records of Far East Command, Supreme Commander Allied Powers, and United Nations Command,1945-1960. USSBS records are available on the internet. Moreover, on March 21, about 3,400 books from the Prange Collection will be added to the NDL Digitized Contents. They are available only within the facilities of the NDL. As a result, the total number of the digitized materials the NDL provides now reached 2.25 million, among which 470,000 items are available on the internet.
