(26 Mar 2026) Malaysia recently launched the Higher Education Blueprint 2026 – 2035 under the Ministry of Higher Education. The new Malaysia Higher Education Blueprint shows a strong signal of maturity as Malaysia expands its ambition from a regional education hub to a regional education hub with global prominence, anchoring on globally competitive, sustainable and future-ready higher education.
The Malaysia Higher Education Blueprint 2026 – 2035 framework sets to encompass humanity-centric, holistic well-being, shared prosperity and sustainability in three levers of change which are talents, higher learning institutions and higher education ecosystems. This new Higher Education Blueprint acts as a ‘living document’ with ten strategic shifts designed to meet national and global demands through its talents, while embracing inclusion and sustainability. This “next generation blueprint” centres on building a globally competitive, sustainable and future ready talent workforce, as highlighted in national statements by Minister of Higher Education Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.
