(5 September 2017) The Collections and Discovery Services Librarian (HEW6) develops, implements and delivers services in discovery, collection assessment and evaluation, procurement, metadata and copyright/license management.
The role provides in-depth advice and support for collection and content development, access, discovery, and research publication/data management. Data gathering, evaluation, analysis and reporting – to inform decision making within the Library and to support University reporting exercises – is a key aspect of the role. The role contributes to the discoverability and management of the Library’s collections, and requires building and managing relationships with external vendors/suppliers, with the Macquarie academic community and with colleagues across the Library The successful candidate will be an individual who has an active interest in ongoing changes affecting the library environment, who takes a collaborative approach to service development and delivery, and who is enthusiastic about delivering value and continuously improving the client experience.
