(8 July 2016) SHAU, an architectural business in Europe with an office in Bandung, Indonesia, has designed the microlibrary at Taman Bima, Bandung. It is a small reading facility for community use whose planning engaged participation from the community.
The library is elevated at the second floor. The facade material is made by upcycling 2,000 ice cream buckets. The pattern on the facade is a coding of a message by Mayor Ridwan Kamil, “buku adalah jendela dunia”.
