In this position, you will play a key role in developing strategy, policy and frameworks for Library initiatives to advance the University’s teaching and research mission.
With Scholarly Collections, you will provide the vision and leadership in the acquisition and stewardship of rich and diverse collections for which the University Library is responsible, including special archival and cultural collections. In this position, you will play a key role in developing strategy, policy and frameworks for library initiatives to advance the University’s research mission. In supporting the University’s broader research and e-research agenda the role provides strategic leadership and value-adding initiatives for research infrastructure and services, including the University repository (OPaL), bibliometrics and research impact, researcher training, research data management, digitisation, and digital preservation.
The incumbent, as a member of the Library Executive Team is required to provide high level strategic advice to the University Librarian on Library planning, scholarly research and collections matters; and to represent the University at key industry and sector forums.
