(31 May 2023) Karger Publishers, a global leader in scientific publishing, has announced a ground-breaking three-year Read and Publish agreement with the KESLI (Korean E-resource Service for Library) and KCUE (Korean Council for University Education) consortia. This transformative agreement, marking one of the first multi-year deals of its kind in South Korea, highlights Karger Publishers’ unwavering dedication to advancing Open Access (OA) and supporting research institutions.
Under the agreement, members of the participating consortia gain access to the complete Karger journal collection, including back files content. Moreover, they benefit from unlimited OA publishing in Karger journals, completely free of charge for authors. In a further expansion of their presence in the region, Karger has also signed individual Read and Publish agreements for 2023 with two prestigious Korean institutions, Pusan National University and Catholic University of Korea.
This milestone agreement solidifies Karger Publishers’ commitment to providing flexible agreements and robust services that meet the needs of institutions. Additionally, it exemplifies Karger’s “Open for Open” strategy, aimed at promoting Open Science and sustainable OA options, thereby ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of health sciences information for all.
