(14 Oct 2024) A selection tour was recently held by Chubu Gakuin University & College at a bookstore here, allowing students to choose books for the university’s library collection. About 30 students purchased approximately 200 books including technical ones, novels, and picture books.
The budget for the book selection tour, held at Maruzen bookstore’s Gifu branch in the city of Gifu, was 15,000 yen (about $100) per person. Within the budget, students could freely choose books of their interest, including novels and self-help books, as well as technical books related to their majors. Students picked up books with eye-catching titles and bindings and earnestly selected which ones to purchase.
