(30 September 2016) In 2017 IFLA Health and Biosciences Libraries Section and IFLA Publications will publish a book entitled:
Action to impact: librarians working at the heart of health communities
IFLA wants to hear from librarians meeting the challenge of moving beyond their well-established roles to take their place at the heart of professional, social or educational communities.
You may be contributing to health literacy, working directly with clinicians in hospital wards, advising researchers on research design or data management, teaching, writing or informing policy or taking leading roles in technological innovations.
IFLA particularly welcomes evaluative studies or reviews of aspects of health services from the perspective of library and information science. Authors from Asia, northern Europe and Australia and Africa are especially encouraged to submit proposals.
Submission guidelines are here.
