(22 Sep 2026) iGroup and Beamafilm today announced a new strategic distribution partnership that will bring Beamafilm’s curated streaming service to more libraries, educational institutions and their communities across key Asian markets.
Beamafilm is an Australian-owned, ad-free streaming platform designed for public, academic and institutional libraries. Its curated catalogue brings together independent and world cinema, acclaimed documentaries, Australian and international films, series and culturally diverse stories, enabling library members to discover and stream high-quality content across web, mobile and connected devices.
Under the agreement, iGroup will become Beamafilm’s exclusive distribution partner in Hong Kong, India, South Korea, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, drawing on its extensive regional network, local market expertise and longstanding relationships with libraries, universities and educational institutions.
The partnership will operate under a recurring subscription and licensing model, with iGroup supporting market development, sales, demonstrations, trials and ongoing customer engagement across its exclusive territories. Libraries and institutions will have access to Beamafilm’s flexible licensing models, including fixed annual and usage-based options designed to accommodate different institution types, audience sizes, budgets and viewing requirements.
The two organizations will also collaborate on regional marketing, webinars, product demonstrations and other initiatives to build awareness of streaming video as an increasingly important part of contemporary library collections.
