(6 May 2022) IGI Global has embarked on a collaboration with the University of North Texas (UNT) to release the publisher’s first platinum Open Access (OA) reference book. The forthcoming book which is set to release in early May, Global View of Open Access and Scholarly Communications, edited by Dr. Daniel Gelaw Alemneh of UNT, has been fully opened through a collaboration with IGI Global and the UNT Library. This was made possible through UNT’s investment in IGI Global e-Collections, and Open Access support. This innovative partnership provided UNT with the ability to receive flexible OA support, increase the accessibility of research, and support inclusive OA practices.
The Handbook of Research on the Global View of Open Access and Scholarly Communications articulates OA concepts and issues while demystifying the state-of-the-art knowledge domain in the areas of OA and scholarly communications from diverse perspectives as well as implications for the information and knowledge society. Covering topics such as ethics, copyright challenges, and open access initiatives, this book is a dynamic resource for publishers, librarians, higher education administrators, policymakers, students and educators of higher education, researchers, and academicians.
The many academic areas covered in this publication include, but are not limited to:
