(1 December 2016) IGI Global is proud to partner with the International Center for Informatics Research (ICIR) of Beijing Jiaotong University in China to increase the awareness of the peer-review process.
This partnership was instated to support the future of technological development by strengthening the relationship between students, faculty, staff, and cutting-edge global research, especially in the areas of ICIR focus: information management, logistics management, engineering and IT, e-business and enterprise information, cloud computing technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) technology. China stands as a world leader in the growing information science and technology market, and IGI Global continuously seeks to facilitate and support technology education and research initiatives among academia throughout the world.
Throughout 2016, this research collaboration between ICIR and IGI Global included 30 seminars offered by ICIR throughout China and four international conferences. In 2017, IGI Global and ICIR are partnering to release collaborative publications in IGI Global’s 166 peer-reviewed journals. A mentoring program for graduate students and faculty interested in scholarly peer-reviewed publishing has been implemented to strengthen the partnership.
Dr. Mincong Tang, ICIR’s Managerial Board Officer remarked, “The partnership is a milestone in ICIR’s efforts in becoming internationalized. Resources from IGI Global provide incredible support in the research and teaching of ICIR. The collaboration between ICIR and IGI Global will set a precedent for domestic institutes for peer-reviewed research.”
