(30 June 2017) From 28 to 29 June, the fifth IFLA Global Vision Regional Workshop was held at the National Library of Singapore. 32 participants from 27 countries in Asia Oceania joined the voice of more than 300 librarians that have been gathered by IFLA so far, to explore together how a connected library field can tackle the challenges of the future.
IFLA President Donna Scheeder, expressed her enthusiasm with yet another fruitful and thought-provoking workshop of this global discussion:
“I was inspired by the work of the Asian library leaders who participated in the global vision workshop. I commend them for their commitment to uniting the library field.”
