(5 February 2019) IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for humanity; and SAE International, a global association of engineers; as well as related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive, and commercial-vehicle industries, announced today a new collaboration to make SAE International eBooks available via the IEEE Xplore® digital library.
IEEE Xplore provides access to more than 4.5 million full-text documents from some of the world’s most highly cited publications in electrical engineering, computer science, and electronics. It includes content from more than 180 IEEE journals and magazines, over 1,700 annual conferences, more than 3,800 active technology standards, 3,600 eBooks, and hundreds of eLearning courses.
“IEEE is pleased to announce our collaboration with SAE International. Enriching the IEEE Xplore digital library with this high-quality, leading-edge content will enable researchers, technical professionals, and students to discover critical information in the areas of mobility, including groundbreaking research in technologies such as autonomous vehicles, electrification, and cybersecurity,” said Karen Hawkins, Chief Marketing Officer, IEEE.
Delivering a new collection of cutting-edge eBook content, the titles in the SAE collection feature respected and authoritative information in the industry, providing expert knowledge in the areas of aerospace, automotive, and commercial vehicle technology. Subscribers will be able to find and download specific chapters within eBooks that will be discoverable alongside related content within IEEE Xplore. The SAE eBooks collection will be available as an add-on to an existing IEEE subscription or as a stand-alone product.
“SAE International is proud to be able to offer our eBooks on the IEEE Xplore digital library. The IEEE Xplore digital library is a leading platform used by researchers globally to help fuel growth and foster innovation. Our eBooks focus on emerging transportation technologies of growing importance to engineers everywhere, and the addition to Xplore will increase their availability and utility to the worldwide scientific community,” said Frank Menchaca, Chief Product Officer, SAE International.
