(21 August 2014, Canberra) The winners of the HLA/HCN Health Informatics Innovation Award 2014 are Lisa Kruesi and Connie Schardt, for Australian Evidence Based Practice Librarians’ Institute, 2011– 2014.
The Institute is an ongoing, innovative project using technology to coordinate an international team of library educators to provide a residential training program for librarians working in health care settings.
The purpose of the HLA/HCN Health Informatics Award — generously sponsored by HCN — is to acknowledge excellence and innovation in performance by an individual information professional or team. It provides an opportunity for those working in the Australian health and biomedical library and information sector to showcase innovative projects which, through the use of health informatics or web technologies contribute or support improved health outcomes.
