This is due to the lack of competence standards among librarians in managing libraries. This was emphasized by the Acting Head of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia, E. Aminuddin Aziz, M.A., Ph.D., in a seminar entitled ‘The Contribution of Libraries in Institution Reputation Development’. Librarians from various universities in Indonesia also attended.
