(9 September 2016) Jingwei Primary School in Harbin, Heilongjiang province has won a competition to find the most beautiful school library in China, Harbin Daily reported.
The school was selected from 76 institutions from across the country that entered the contest run by the China Library Society. Its large collection of 60,000 books helped it stand out with the judges.
Jingwei Primary School began to build its own library eight years ago. Now, a library with an area of 453 square meters has been established, which includes a students’ reading room and teachers’ reading room.
The school’s collection includes 3,000 teaching books, 3,000 e-books and more than 30 newspapers and periodicals.
